Module Reflection #8

We’re getting so close to the end of the semester! Module 8 had a good mix of creativity and organization, which made it one of my favorite modules so far. One of the big things we started was our ePortfolio using Google Sites. It was exciting to finally begin pulling everything together in one place. At first, I didn’t know how I wanted it to look, but once I chose a theme and added some content, it started to feel more personal and meaningful.

I also got to explore Adobe Express for the first time. I really enjoyed using it to create visuals. It was pretty straightforward, and I liked how polished everything looked. I can definitely see myself using Adobe Express in the future to make educational content more engaging.

One part of this module that felt really familiar to me was the spreadsheets assignments. Since I have an accounting background, spreadsheets are kind of my thing. I didn’t struggle with the formulas or layout, and it was actually nice to use a skill I already feel confident in. It reminded me how useful spreadsheets are for organizing and analyzing student data in a classroom setting.

Overall, this module was a great combination of creative design and practical tools. I liked being able to use my strengths and also learn something new. I’m proud of how far I’ve come this semester and I’m excited to keep building my ePortfolio into something I can really be proud of.

Module Reflection #1

I feel like the first few weeks of class are always the most challenging because everyone is getting established and trying to adjust to their new schedule. This being my first semester of my graduate degree and first semester return since my undergraduate graduation, I was very much intimidated. I work full time so I usually have been going to school part time, but I am determined to finish this master program quickly and on schedule with my cohorts. My first module was pretty standard. There were a couple of videos to watch that got me acquainted with technology and AI in the classroom which I found interesting. I have very little experience with AI because my previous university and courses had banned it but it is accepted here which is new for me. I think it could be a useful tool that I would really like to learn and incorporate for my future career teachings and lessons. Mid-course Summary Reflection #6

I can't believe this semester is almost over. We are in the final few weeks and I have really enjoyed this class. I think I have learned so much about coding, photoshop, and other digital media. I think this is important because this class has taught me the basics of becoming an online educator. My favorite thing I have learned from this course is creating a QR code. I really like this because it is so simple yet a really interesting feature to include in an online learning environment. I will definitely be utilizing them in my future lesson plans. Another assignment I really enjoyed doing in this course was creating the ISTE lesson plan. I enjoyed this assignment because it pushed me out of my comfort zone and really challenged me to be creative. I had never made a lesson plan before but I am really proud of how it turned out. Overall I am excited to complete this semester and see what else I will learn.

Module Reflection #2

I can't believe Module 2 is already over. It feels fast because the first month of school is practically behind me now, but at the same time it feels long. I think it feels long because the work load of the semester is setting in. I have surpassed my adjustment period and I am getting used to the schedule of zooms and when assignments will be due. I think I am managing my time well but that is something I struggle with. I do tend to procrastinate and I have always done that throughout my life. I feel I cannot do that with this masters program because it is accelerated. I need to just buckle down and put everything off until it is over. This is easier said than done but I fingers crossed I can do it. Learning about web evaluations was simple and I enjoyed it. It is a simple yet important factor to know when researching credible sources. I have not signed up for any web sharing online Zoom yet but I will attend the Wednesday 19th Zoom and share my site there. This will be challenging...
